Facing Concrete is an architectural design concrete that does not require subsequent treatment after application. This concrete boasts an extremely homogeneous and dense material structure, is waterproof and easy to maintain. It does not require any extra coating. Depending on its processing, facing concrete may have either a smooth or structured surface. More appealing aesthetic appearances can be achieved, if the finished concrete surface is subsequently given further surface details, either manually or with the help of machines. Processing methods for this purpose may be embossing, grinding, or washing. These techniques for surface processing make cement stone and aggregate appear particularly pronounced. When this kind of processing is planned, aggregate coloration, granulation, and the form of the facing concrete are taken into consideration during the production process, since these ingredients define coloration and structuring effects. Facing concrete can be delivered in all exposition and strength classes and, if desired, also as coloured concrete.
