Frost and de-icing salt resistant concrete is a concrete of class XF1-XF4. This concrete is highly resistant against frost and de-icing salt. In addition, it boasts a high degree of watertightness. XF concretes are used in the case of structures that are frequently exposed to frost, that is, especially in road and tunnel construction, but also in upper Alpine regions. XF concretes can be delivered in several strengths.
